Slash Les Paul Standard is a recreation of Slash's favorite Les Paul and is made of solid mahogany and is finished with a Antique Vintage Sunburst. Just like the custom shop version the guitar is fitted with Seymor Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups and a neck modeled after Slash's original. The guitar will be made in a limited run of 1600 guitars. He says "It's sort of a trip for me to see it because it looks exactly like the guitar after I had it refinished in 1988. This is what it looked like when it was brand new."
Gibson Custom will release their Slash Inspired by VOS (Vintage Original Spec) guitar, Gibson USA will release their Slash Signature Les Paul Standard model and there will also be an Epiphone Slash Les Paul Standard Plus packaged with exclusive Slash inspired accessories. All three new guitar models will combine individual design features while Slash’s own personal touches create a unique instrument destined to become another instant classic.
For twenty years, the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll has been embodied by one man. When he shot to fame with Guns N’ Roses in 1987, Slash was the cool cat in the top hat, cranking out timeless riffs like “Welcome to the Jungle” and “Sweet Child O’ Mine.” And, at the same time setting the standard by which all future guitar heroes would be measured. In 1978 gibson introduced the "the paul standard " guitar but were actually sold on the market in 1979 , these guitars had a les paul shaped body , 2 exposed coil humbucker pickups , walnut body , tune o matic bridges , no pickguards , decal logos a, were made in natural colors , "the paul" on truss rod covers and were Discontinued in 1982 .
In 1980 gibson also introduced the paul firebrand deluxe which was very similar to the paul standard except for a mahogany body , mahogany neck , most firebrand deluxe guitars had "firebrand" on the trust rod cover, mostly made in rough natural finishes and were discontinued in 1986 .

This limited edition "premium plus" -run was produced 1 year only (1992)
The pick-ups can be set as bridge; bridge and middle and neck.
The bridge pick-up is a little thin sounding but is articulate and toneful. It has a similar sound of the AC/DC Angus Young growling tone.
The bridge and middle pick-up ( toggle switch in middle position ) have a thick treble tone. It's very different from the standard Gibson sound and almost gives the impression of an out of phase sound.
The neck pick-up is just flat out great. Very thick and musical sounding and very much in the vein of Claptons "Strange Brew" tone

here a great blast of the past,a Ginson Les Paul 1980 made in the old Kalamazoo factory in Michigan Usa.
this Baby is 27 years of age and its been played real well,this is a Natural Relic guitar,nothing artificial about this one,the paint on the back of the neck is worn off,also the sides of the body lost it paint,all this won't affect its tone and playability,infact the neck now is smooth as a babies bottom,guitar has the original Gibson Humbuckers,and pots read 13779 and 13780,so correct pots.its awesome Tobacco Sunburst lost a lot of its shine,but still has some left.
now for tone and playability,this is a monster,all the way Gibson fat sounds,plays like butta currently setup with a 010 set.
also this Les Paul shows no breaks or repairs,and comes with the original Chainsaw protector case.
these old Kalamazoo Gibson are growing in value fast,either its a player or a collector.

here a great blast of the past,a Ginson Les Paul 1980 made in the old Kalamazoo factory in Michigan Usa.
this Baby is 27 years of age and its been played real well,this is a Natural Relic guitar,nothing artificial about this one,the paint on the back of the neck is worn off,also the sides of the body lost it paint,all this won't affect its tone and playability,infact the neck now is smooth as a babies bottom,guitar has the original Gibson Humbuckers,and pots read 13779 and 13780,so correct pots.its awesome Tobacco Sunburst lost a lot of its shine,but still has some left.
now for tone and playability,this is a monster,all the way Gibson fat sounds,plays like butta currently setup with a 010 set.
also this Les Paul shows no breaks or repairs,and comes with the original Chainsaw protector case.
these old Kalamazoo Gibson are growing in value fast,either its a player or a collector.

This guitar is in good condition with the exception of a few dings on the guitar.
There is some light scratches and some player wear but nothing that really hurts the overall appearence.
Neck and fingerboard are in excellent condition, frets some some wear on the first 3 frets but still plenty of life in them, the ebony fingerboard is awesome.
Great sounding pickups 2 humbckers with coil tap switch.
This is a very versatile guitar and is ready to play any style of music you can think of.

All guitar historians will tell you that Orville Gibson invented the archtop guitar at the end of the 19th century, but many will also add that Lloyd Loar advanced the design considerably in the early 1920s. Gibson was already the leader in a market dominated more by mandolins and related instruments than by guitars in the early part of the last century when it hired a multi-talented musician, composer, teacher, and physics engineer by the name of Lloyd Loar in 1919 as a design consultant. Along with designing the other members of his Master Series—the legendary F-5 mandolin, H-5 mandola and K-5 mando-cello—Loar unveiled the L-5 guitar in 1923, but the model is considered to have reached its zenith in 1934. While Gibson was already the preeminent manufacturer of archtop guitars, Loar brought a raft of advancements to the table, including harmonically tuned carved tops, violin-style f-holes (the L-5 was Gibson’s first guitar to carry them), tuned longitudinal tone bars (braces), and necks with longer playable portions of the fingerboard.

All guitar historians will tell you that Orville Gibson invented the archtop guitar at the end of the 19th century, but many will also add that Lloyd Loar advanced the design considerably in the early 1920s. Gibson was already the leader in a market dominated more by mandolins and related instruments than by guitars in the early part of the last century when it hired a multi-talented musician, composer, teacher, and physics engineer by the name of Lloyd Loar in 1919 as a design consultant. Along with designing the other members of his Master Series—the legendary F-5 mandolin, H-5 mandola and K-5 mando-cello—Loar unveiled the L-5 guitar in 1923, but the model is considered to have reached its zenith in 1934. While Gibson was already the preeminent manufacturer of archtop guitars, Loar brought a raft of advancements to the table, including harmonically tuned carved tops, violin-style f-holes (the L-5 was Gibson’s first guitar to carry them), tuned longitudinal tone bars (braces), and necks with longer playable portions of the fingerboard.

Body and Neck
Encounter the clever structural alteration that gives this new model its name by taking the instrument in your hands and running your fingers up the neck. The Axcess sports what looks from the front to be a traditional Les Paul neck joint, yet the neck heel and portions of the back and neck joint at the upper cutaway have been contoured to provide a "heelless" feel, and an unimpeded reach right up to the 22nd fret. No more stretching against the traditional neck heel to achieve the upper-fret access that your lead style demands -- the Axcess gives you that legendary Les Paul playability all the way up the neck, welcoming you to take it right over the top. The one-piece, 24 3/4" scale length, mahogany neck features a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid fingerboard inlays.
To further enhance playing comfort, this smoothly carved neck joint is combined with a "belly scarf" (aka ribcage contour) that allows the body of the guitar to hug closely to your own body in the playing position without digging in. Add to these contours the Les Paul Axcess's slightly thinner body, made from weight-relieved mahogany - with a carved maple top available in Iced Tea Burst or Gun Metal Gray finishes and single-ply cream binding on body top - and you've got an instrument that is refreshingly light, and a pure joy to play either strapped on, or in a seated position.
Hardware
The most noticeable addition is the Floyd Rose tailpiece, a unit optimized for anything from subtle vibrato wobbles to dramatic, rumbling divebombs. On the Les Paul Axcess Standard the vibrato is installed right at Gibson Custom as part of the manufacturing process, which means this potent piece of high-performance hardware interacts seamlessly with the design of the guitar. Partnered with an R4 locking nut, it also guarantees outstanding tuning stability and return-to-pitch accuracy.
Beyond all these significant considerations for playing feel, the Axcess is also geared toward optimum tone, as you'd expect from any Gibson Custom creation. Exposed-coil BurstBucker 1 and BurstBucker 2 pickups in the neck and bridge positions -- the most accurate reproduction vintage-PAF-style humbuckers Gibson has ever offered -- yield everything from warm, fluid vocal tones to fat, sweet growl, while an added push/pull switch on the treble Tone knob provides coil splitting for accurate single-coil tones.

For more than 35 years, AC/DC has represented the archetypal “big rock” guitar sound, setting the standards for countless bands to follow. In particular, Angus Young’s incendiary lead tone and mammoth rhythm crunch have inspired wave after wave of rock guitar heroes, and he has done it all on a Gibson SG Standard. The SG replaced the underappreciated Les Paul Standard in 1961, and while the Les Paul would surface later in the decade as a rock and blues classic, the new SG (originally named Les Paul/SG) was an instant hit in its own right. Its simple yet inspired ingredients of thin, all-mahogany body and neck and two Gibson humbucking pickups gave it a snappy attack with a muscular punch, and its slim, fast neck yielded unprecedented playability. Now the Gibson Custom Shop offers its reproduction of one of the world’s most renowned SGs in the form of the Angus Young SG, a Limited Edition that captures the tone, look, and feel of this rare specimen among a classic breed, but which updates this legendary guitar with custom modifications requested by Angus himself. Angus Young acquired his 1968 SG Standard in 1970, and has used it on all major AC/DC recordings and many tours since the band’s inception in 1973. Young’s ’68 SG is known to be a superb example of this model, with an unusually slim neck, pickups that blend just the right proportions of power and sweetness, and a resonant, vocal tone that represents the best of the SG formula. Listen closely to any classic AC/DC tune, and the tone is huge, but not filthy or fizzy. Angus’s ’68 SG achieves a stunning clarity and definition right within its bone-crushing thump and grind. With utmost attention to detail, the Angus Young SG seeks to achieve that tone, aided by a pair of custom-spec Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates humbucking pickups. The Michael Bloomfield 1959 Les Paul Standard faithfully captures that celebrated tone, along with every precious detail of the original. this is a great SG,has the 3 humbuckers 1957 in a row,a 5 way chickenhead switch,yes also for split coil,it sound really great,and plays like butta,gold hardware-block inlays-gibson customshop logo on back of the head.
this is a new old stock,it was bought for collecting rather then playing,it shows no wear on the frets,no damages ect,just a little discolorization on the upper back of the body its really minor and common on older guitars with nitro finish.
these guitars are collectors this 14 year old SG only will climb in value.
the original case is included as well as the tags.

The result was the introduction in 1961 of what is known today as the Gibson SG line. The first use of the name “SG” actually surfaced on a Gibson guitar in late 1959 with the introduction of the SG Special – a double cutaway model with rounded horns that had previously been listed as a Les Paul since 1955. In early 1961, however, the Les Paul models would undergo a radical change in design in an effort to improve their popularity, and Gibson’s standing as a quality builder of electric solid body guitars. Fortunately, the redesigns would make a significant impact on Gibson’s market share, albeit slowly at first. On average, about 2,120 SGs shipped per year from 1961 to 1970, with the numbers continuing to increase well into the 1970s. This trend eventually made the SG Gibson’s most popular model – a distinction that still holds true today. From 1961 to 1963, the model was still known as the “redesigned” Les Paul Standard, although its namesake did not fully approve of the model’s new look. This would eventually lead to the removal of Les Paul’s name in 1963, in favor of a new name, the SG Standard.

Gibson Byrdland 1968 Naturel Usa made
This beautiful Gibson Byrdland is almost 40 years old and is in very good condition. This guitar plays and sounds as smooth and creamy as butter . The 23 1/2 scale makes even the most daunting finger stretches a piece of cake. The humbucker pickups actually have a closer pole-piece spacing then the standard Les Paul humbuckers. The string spread remains fairly parallel due to the shorter scale neck and so closer spacing were required. This guitar features all of the adornments of an Gibson L5 included solid carved front, back and sides. The thinner body depth and shorter scale make for a really comfortable fit though and were very deliberate details from Billy Byrd and Hank Garland. Both are attributed to the design of this model and the name Byrdland is derived from combining their names. The Byrdland was Gibson's first thin-line model and was quite the innovation in 1957 and originally had a Venetian cutaway. In 1961 and through 1968 the Byrdland cutaway was changed to the sharp Florentine cutaway that this guitar sports. Additionally and unique to the Byrdland model is the triple-loop tubular tailpiece with "Byrdland" engraved on the crosspiece. Cool.
of course this is also the favorite axe of the motor city mad man Ted Nugent.
This Byrdland is in pretty good condition,once there were Grover tuners installed but now the waffle back tuners are back on,the holes were pro filled by my luthier.
The moveable bridge is glued to the top by one of the previous owners,i guess they played a set of lighter gauge strings ,this also was done a lot with the Gretsch hollow body to prevend the bridge from moving.
Further more all original Byrdland 1968 the natural finish was a option and now a 10 to 25% more value than other colors(see BB INFO)

VOS finish is much softer lacquer and they skip the final polishing steps, but they apply the polishing rouge to it. The whole truth is, though, that the entire Hotel California album is rife with scorching guitar work from both newcomer Joe Walsh and Eagles lead guitarist Don Felder - and Felder played all of his solos on one outstanding instrument: a 1959 Les Paul Standard.
Hired by the Eagles in 1974 to help the band make the transition from country-rock to a heavier, rock-based sound, Felder brought it on in spades, and the tone he selected to do the job is unmistakably Les Paul - fat, creamy and singing. In order to bring that sound, feel and look to a select group of players and collectors today, Gibson Custom offers the Don Felder "Hotel California" 1959 Les Paul, an instrument created in the image of Felder's original 1959 'Burst in strictly limited quantities. Produced as a three-tiered Limited Edition, with 50 guitars hand-aged by Gibson Custom and personally signed by Don Felder, 100 hand-aged, and a further 150 given Gibson's VOS treatment, each includes a numbered Certificate of Authenticity to record its status for posterity.
Hand-aged examples meticulously reproduce the look of Felder's own '59 Les Paul, while VOS versions present the gently aged look and feel of a vintage instrument. All are made with period-correct specs and components, including a pair of Gibson's most accurate reproduction PAF pickups, and finished in a uniquely tinted and faded "Felder Burst" finish, formulated exclusively for this guitar. The Chet Atkins hit the scene in '82 and completely revolutionized the way people amplified their classical guitars. The tight grained spruce top and chambered mahogany back enabled the Chet Atkins CE to faithfully produce the beautiful tone of a full acoustic classical. And, it did this without the side effect of feedback. This design also enables you to add effects and really push the tone into uncharted waters. Each string has its own volume control in the control cavity, so attaining a perfect balance is a breeze. The CE goes from the stage to direct studio recording without missing a beat.
Specs
The body is not all solid mahagony but features sound chambers to reduce weight and to make the sound more acoustic. The top is solid spruce or cedar. The neck is mahagony with a neck joint location at the 12th fret – like a classical guitar. The scale is 25 1/2?, the fingerboard and the bridge are from ebony.
The pickup system consists of six individual piezos that are installed under the bridge. The pickup signal is preamplified in the control cavity (that consequently houses a 9V battery), a volume control and the (active) tone control is located on the rim of the guitar (later models have a bass and treble control). A really useful feature are six trim pots inside the control cavity that allow to adjust the volume for each string individually so that you can equalize volume differences easily.
This guitar model was developed by Chet Atkins who approached Gibson with his prototype. The model appeared in Gibson’s catalogue in 1982, right at the time when Dire Straits recorded the Love over Gold album. This album features two songs – Private Investigations and the title track – on which a classical (=nylon-strung) guitar was used. Note that on the album it was NOT the Gibson Chet Atkins, however, Mark Knopfler started to play it on stage for the Love over gold tour, right after recording the album. You can hear it e.g. on the Alchemy live album where it was used not only on Private Investigations and Love over Gold but also in the outro of Romeo&Juliet. Knopfler (probably) also used it on many sessions with other artists in the early 80ies, e.g. with Phil Everly or Paul Brady.

Description of the Gibson Explorer '76 Classic White
The original Explorer of 1958 was more radically modernistic than its famous cousin, the Flying V. Musicians finally caught up with the Explorer in 1976, and today's Explorer revives the first reissue. Features of the Gibson Explorer '76 include 496R/500T ceramic humbuckers, a Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and chrome hardware. A Gibson deluxe hardshell case is included.

Description of the Gibson Explorer '76 Classic White
The original Explorer of 1958 was more radically modernistic than its famous cousin, the Flying V. Musicians finally caught up with the Explorer in 1976, and today's Explorer revives the first reissue. Features of the Gibson Explorer '76 include 496R/500T ceramic humbuckers, a Mahogany body and neck with a rosewood fingerboard, and chrome hardware. A Gibson deluxe hardshell case is included.
In 1958 "At the Hop" by Danny and the Juniors topped the radio and record charts for 7 straight weeks, surpassing 2 other monster hits that year-"The Purple People Eater" by Sheb Wooley and "The Chipmunk Song" by, of course, The Chipmunks. In that same year Gibson's Ted McCarty met a challenge from rival Leo Fender and introduced 3 revolutionary, highly stylized solidbody electric guitars -- the Explorer, the fabled lost Moderne, and the Flying V.
